ORAL TRADITIONS OF THE LUKUMI: Songs & Chants
- AfroCuban songs with transcriptions, translations, and narrations.
- 78 minutes of audio on 73 track CD with 12 page booklet in DVD style box.
Many people have been emailing and calling me asking if we had anything with transcriptions and translations to the popular Lukumi songs and chants of the Afro-Cuban traditions. As I knew the interest was there and that this information was very important to many people, I made it a priority to bring it to you. I spent 2 weeks living with an Orisha Priest (Babalorisha), Obinde Omo Llessa, to record a complete Oru Cantando, transcribe it, translate it, then record stories to accompany it. We worked hard, had a lot of fun and put our hearts into the project to bring you some infomation that will be helpful. I am sure that you will be pleased with the results. Here we have a project of its only kind that has never been done and we feel like we have given it the justice and love that it deserves. Please keep in mind that this project is not meant to be a replacement of the traditional paths in religion and spirituality, it is mearly one way of looking into things to help supplement your understanding.
